12:35. Got up, went downstairs, brushed my hair and beard, took my meds, grabbed a coffee and a Bubly sparkling water.

14:00. Reading news in Newsflash, my feed reader. Western Digital is out of hard drives for the year. President George W. Bush trashes President Trump. Argentinian president Javier Milei says libertarianism can save their economy. Substack's owner is big on free speech.

15:32. Finished filling out the Proust questionnaire. Watched Naked and Afraid.

Read more news. The European Union is paying to destroy vineyards. Facebook is running ads for ICE.. Libertarians say that the European Union resembles the Soviet Union. Blogger James G. makes a cute handwriting font. European Union debates ending fur farming; I'm not sure how fedoras and other nice hats will be made without fur; I hate polyester! Libertarians discuss how state policy influences family plans to "be fruitful and multiply". GNU webmaster Jason Self entertains the idea that Algol 68 is safer than Rust.

16:00. Finished reading news. Logged in to SDF's COM chat. Someone suggested M-Disc for archiving data, but Facebook uses just regular Blu-ray.

17:15. Attempting to update Guix System on my server when its root volume is 100% full, even after doing guix gc --delete-generations. I need to run guix pull in order to install lftp, so I can continue uploading my backup. Someone in #guix says I need to pass --delete-generations to guix system and guix package too, but those subcommands do not have the option.

Grabbed a Starry lemon-lime soda. Unplugged my laptop, as it was at 100% charge. Took the trash out: One of the two trash cans was over full. I still think it's weird that they now pick up the trash on Tuesdays!

18:13. Still trying to install lftp on my server, so I can continue my backup. Guix keeps getting stuck on substitute: and will not continue.

19:15. Having miso soup and rice with gomashio for supper. Had half a can of diced mango for dessert. Copied Police Squad! to my remote backup location; we're still diagnosing how to use rsync.

20:00. Backing up my copy of Futurama season 6. Doing folders one at a time is a bit tedious. Still watching Naked and Afraid. Drank half a Hamm's beer. Joined Linux/Unix chat (link requires Snikket or XMPP app) and introduced myself.

Hi all. Looking to improve my backup regimen. Currently I just back up HOME to a flash drive with Borg. I need to back up my external hard drive at some point. I use Fedora Workstation and so does my uncle.

21:00. Finished uploading season 6 of Futurama. Resolved to wake up at 08:00 tomorrow. Started uploading Futurama season 7. Debated whether I should install ye olde ath9k chip into my EliteBook, so I can use Linux-libre again.

22:17. Checking the manual for my laptop (PDF) to see if I can swap out the Wi-Fi card and install Linux-libre.

22:30. Went upstairs. Set my alarm for 08:00. Performed backup. Committed and pushed changes to my website.
