Grilling Burgers and Looking into Flip Phones

09:30. Got up. Brushed my hair and beard. Listened to the radio on the classic rock station.

Ate tofu scramble and hash browns for breakfast, with the last two pieces of Gardein f'sh filets.

Uncle John went to Walmart and got my vegan Bratwurst and a few other things.

14:21. Looked into Convo, a Jabber app for KaiOS flip phones. Looking into a flip phone as a replacement for my LineageOS Google Pixel 4a smartphone, so I can still answer phone calls and messages, but not install mobile apps. Helped take the groceries in.

The Borogove Demo web app is working well for me now. I now use it exclusively to chat on my desktop; I no longer use Dino.

15:00. Pushed changes to website. Publish failed twice. Wonder why that is? Wrote to Codeberg for help. Grabbed a Yuengling beer.

15:45. Found out that most bitnami images got archived, so I can't publish my site anymore. I don't know what to do. Solved: Change bitnami to bitnamilegacy. Hopefully a Bitnami replacement shows up soon.

17:45. Took three hits off the pipe. Ate three Reese's plant-based peanut butter cups. Ate a whole box of Mike & Ike candies. Ate a burger with mustard and dill relish.

18:35. Looked at transliterating English into Chinese characters. There are no tools that do it. The process is rather simple: English to IPA, IPA to Chinese, Chinese to Pinyin. There's a table for it on Wikipedia. Perhaps a program could be written to do it, perhaps in Emacs Lisp. I did run into Yingzi.

19:00. Chatted on IRC. Looked at container images for Alpine, to look for a replacement to the Bitnami image. Looked at Alpine itself, and it seems very lean and fast.

20:30. Went to bed.
