News of the day: Fedora now available in Syria.
Today was a good day! Had trouble getting to sleep but woke up on time. Showered. Chatted online. Signed up to go to the Wellbeing Center tomorrow.
02:00. Still up. Can't sleep. Tried paced breathing and that helped a little, but I still couldn't get to sleep. The LAN has no internet right now. I looked at the oldest files on my system. Everything seems to point to 2025-12-03 at 11:49.
02:43. Closed laptop and tried going to sleep again.
07:45. Got up, went downstairs, took my meds, brushed my teeth, and took a shower.
08:21. Got on laptop. Checked email and Mastodon. Went through my news feeds: Fedora GNU/Linux is now available in Syria; libertarians entertain the idea of repealing the Civil Rights Act?!
Something I've noticed about my Atom feed: It doesn't transmit the entire article. If an article is "too big" for Zola, then the last few paragraphs of an article get chopped off.
08:35. The trash truck picks up our trash. Plugged in my laptop, as it only had 26% charge. Installed Font Awesome to try to get Fedora's start page to display extra fonts without downloading them, but it did not work.

09:30. Called Wellbeing Center to get signed up to go tomorrow. I was not signed up. Reheated some coffee.
10:00. Downloaded a video about cheap cameras. The Lumix GF1 looks really good.

11:00. Ate oatmeal with strawberry preserves and finished it off with a cup of Yorkshire Gold tea. Unplugged 100% charged laptop.
Looks like I can ignore Khaytsus by blocking the Jabber ID in Gajim.

12:00. Put on my earbuds and listened to 101 The Fox on Shortwave. Logged into my server to try backing up some more. Uploaded Beastars season 1.
13:00. Called Wellbeing Center to get my ride pickup time. I'll be picked up at 07:10 and be in Raymore by 08:30. Updated IRPC client by installing it from source. (IRPC is like Nintendo PictoChat.) We use it to send messages as sitelen pona.
15:00. Plugged laptop into charger. Laptop lasted four hours on a single charge. Not too bad, I guess. Researched Fedora CoreOS, Fedora IoT, and Fedora Server, to see which one is better for a home server. I think I'll go with just Fedora Server. Filled out bullet journal; my fountain pen is writing better today!
16:00. Got hungry. Munched on some Planters mixed nuts.
17:11. I had to modify the Jabber IDs I block, to get IRC ignores working in Gajim.

Filesystem Hierarchy Standard are now implementing an officially
sanctioned pathway for GNU Guix and NixOS. The one oddity of it
is that it recommends stores be called just /store/ rather than (for
example) /gnu/store/. We'll see if GNU Guix ends up implementing
this change, or keeps the store where it is.
18:00. Aunt went to bed. Subscribed to Dallin's blog's feed. Someone reminded me that there is a writing system for sign languages called "SignWriting."
19:00. Reheated some chili. Ate chili with Fritos for supper.
19:40. Watched Queer Eye for a change. I have all the Kansas City episodes on Jellyfin.
20:55. Closed all my apps and got ready for bed. Ran backups.
