Lazy

Today is a lazy Friday. I didn't do laundry. I'll do it Sunday instead.

I didn't even wear my usual dress shirt and black pants, like I normally do. I just put on some workout clothes - basketball shorts and a tee shirt, and some flip flops. I don't plan on going anywhere, anyway.

Ate shredded wheat and mango with hemp seeds and soy milk for breakfast. It was good. My only concern is that the canned mango is not kosher, due to its being packed in white grape juice.

Feeling better than yesterday. No nausea or headache.

Set up Tune In on the television. Added Tune In's Vintage Country station, as well as Topeka's country station, our local rock station, and our local classic hits station. This is a huge improvement over the Audacy app: You can favorite stations now!

Chatted online. My friend from Norway gave me some money so I'm not penniless. Bless him!

Went to Belton to pick up our homeless family friend, Steve. The weather is in the nineties (Fahrenheit) and feels ten degrees hotter. The elements are no place to be right now. We're happy to have him around, anyway. He helps us a lot.

16:00. Came home. Opened a freezer-cold Hamm's beer. Mom turned on the television to Food Network.

Gave up and added a Posts page to my site, to link to recent posts and the archives. I hope maintaining this will be simple still. I want my site to remain raw-HTML-friendly!

I'm starting to think Gemini protocol is more fine-tuned to hand-crafted documents. It has built-in feed support, without the need to generate a separate Atom feed like you do in HTML (and h-feed isn't really supported yet).

18:10. Ate four slices of vegan cheeseless pizza with hemp seeds, and three garlic-stuffed olives.

18:44. Ate half a can of pear halves. I was going to put cinnamon on them, but the spice drawer is in such disarray that I couldn't find the cinnamon.

Got candlesticks ready for tonight's Shabbat candle lighting. I can't believe how late Shabbat starts, at 20:29!

I am very proud of myself. I made it through the day without consuming refined sugar or added fats. Success! Dr. McDougall would be proud of me.

20:13. I got ready to shut down the computer and get ready for Sabbath. I plan on returning by 21:30 tomorrow. See you on the other side!
